VENDOR LOGISTICS ANALYST (REMOTE) Location Remote in Eden Prairie, MN :
Purpose: The Vendor Logistics Analyst is responsible for research, analyze and maximizing cost of goods savings up to $100M through logistical programs and or supply chain initiatives. This analyst will partner with stakeholders from cross-functional business units, vendors and related third parties to identify logistical opportunities, mitigate shrink and spoilage for Procurement. Job Responsibilities: - Provides recommendations and solutions to Procurement leadership using analytics, industry and operational knowledge to maximize cost savings for Replenishment
- Manage the life cycle of the logistic program to include execution, score-carding, fund collection, auditing, monitoring, and course correction.
- Responsible for resolving escalations with internal and external customers including cross-functional executives
- Leverages data from Merchandising and Replenishment to implement proper buying across the company to minimize shrink and aged inventory.
- Monitor vendor price changes and makes recommendations to Replenishment on any potential buying opportunities based on industry knowledge
- Assess new vendor brackets to ensure cost savings and logistical program goals are met • Serves as a liaison between Merchandising, Transportation, and Procurement leadership to ensure best logistical practices are achieved.
- Collaborate with Merchandising to resolve and formulate inventory plans for items cut from purchase orders to maximize income earned for the organization.
- Resolves problems relative to procurement actions such as supplier disputes, customer agreements.
- Communicate effectively; clear, concise, timely and accurately.
- Demonstrate an understanding of supply chain and implement multi-functional decisions to better processes.
- Research and analyze logistics program concerns in partnership with Replenishment Buyers to ensure cost-savings and sustainable go-forward plan
- Participates in developing projects around continuously improving overall business performance.
- Performs other relevant job duties as required.
Job Requirements: Education/ Certifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics, or another related field req
Experience: - 3+ yrs. related experience in Procurement or Supply Chain
Knowledge: - Knowledge of industry buying practices
- Knowledge of large-scale distribution network
Skills/ Abilities: - Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to document work in progress.
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stake holders in a diverse community.
- Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
- Ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions.
- Ability to assess contract compliance and product/service quality.
- Ability to perform complex tasks and to prioritize multiple projects.
