Job Description:

The Jiang Lab at the University of Texas at Dallas is seeking multiple (up to 3) postdoctoral researchers in the area of macromolecular therapeutics. Our research focuses on the design of novel macromolecules (including proteins/antibodies and synthetic polymers) to explore their biomedical applications. Our goal is to utilize these macromolecules to precisely regulate intracellular signaling pathways, eventually translating these toolkits into biotechnology platforms and therapeutic reagents (i.e., drugs). Our research program integrates chemical biology, protein engineering, and cell biology techniques for development, primarily in the direction of (i) autophagy signaling, (ii) organelle regulation or (iii) protein trafficking.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D in a related field.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Experience in molecular biology, protein engineering, biochemical or cell-based assay development, cell biology, medicinal chemistry, and drug discovery.
  • Experience with mammalian cell engineering, CRISPR screens, and proteomics.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a proven track record of publishing scientific papers and delivering presentations.
