Job Description

This new role will provide solution architectural leadership lead the definition of target states and provide guidance. The role will partner closely with senior business and product leaders to define multi-year strategic plans, lead the definition of solutions for large new opportunities and drive integration and platform convergence activities for acquired entities. Visa’s Strategy highlights a major growth opportunity in offering Data Solutions that provide business insights and drive real results for clients. By leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, and big data technologies, data solutions and products help businesses optimize operations, enhance customer experiences, and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Define technology strategy and vision for Visa Analytics Platform in alignment with the broader DAP and Visa business strategy and objectives
• Partner with business and product leaders to develop multi-year strategic outlook plans.
• Drive adoption of architectural best practices/patterns and governance models that ensure top quality product development, utilize prior experience and knowledge to ensure products are solutioned to deliver the highest level of availability, scalability and security characteristics
• Drive product convergence efforts - Role will play an important part in identifying opportunities, defining solutions and working with very senior stakeholders on decisioning and execution
• On large, new opportunities, partner with product on solution definition and delivery

• Demonstrate thought leadership and influence through presentations, paper publications and knowledge sharing across Visa.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

• 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred

Qualifications

• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
• 5+ years of experience coming up solution architecture
• Demonstrated experience in building systems software in domains that require high throughput and low-latency
• Excellent knowledge of cloud-native design principles and patterns
• Proficiency in Python and SQL familiarity with Scala or Java
• Big Data Technologies Experience with Hadoop ecosystem, Apache Spark, and NoSQL databases
• Good Experience with tools like Power BI
• Proficiency with Git and understanding of CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with modern data warehouse solutions
• Understanding of data privacy regulations and security best practices
• Understanding in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 178,400.00 to 258,750.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
