Job Description

Compensation: $15/hr - $17/hr

We are looking to hire multiple Janitorial Technicians with knowledge and experience in commercial property cleaning and custodial procedures. This position will be responsible for all janitorial duties at The Press, a co-working establishment. A Janitorial  Tech is expected to have excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to lead others in a professional setting. You will be required to have strong communication skills with a great eye for detail. This will be a multi facility cleaning position that will require driving to multiple locations.

Top candidates will be experienced at all custodial and cleaning procedures and have knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices. You will be responsible for multiple commercial properties interior and exterior cleanliness on a daily basis. Chosen candidates will need to have the ability to communicate well with teammates, company management, and company tenants. Will be required to report supply replenishment needs to manager and replenish custodial supplies.

• Inside Cleaning Duties and Setup Responsibilities 
  • Sweep/Vacuum/Mops Floors
  • Wipe down walls/baseboards
  • Clean and disinfect urinals/toilets/sinks/mirrors 
  • Empty trash can & wipe down exterior 
  • Refill TP/Paper towel holders in applicable
  • Clean elevator; sweep/mop, wipe down walls
  • Vacuum Conference Rooms 
  • Clean kitchen areas; wipe down surfaces, leave area spotless
  • Wipe down tables & chairs in conference rooms
  • Wipe down light fixtures/Walls(dust & cobwebs)
  • Fan out or vacuum doormats
  • Replace any bulbs that are out/missing
  • Assemble furniture
  • Setup for events held in the Press Events area
• Building Envelope (preventive maintenance) 
  • Porter services including, picking up trash in parking & grass  & flower bed areas, empty outside trash containers
  • Cleaning windows, breezeways, and sidewalks
  • Reporting interior or exterior damage when necessary
  • Cleaning after some construction related projects
  • Reliable transportation & current driver's license is mandatory.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate & lead effectively. 
  • Excellent time management skills.. 
  • Ability to climb stairs or ladders 

Education and Experience

One (1) year of experience in commercial janitorial work

Must have valid drivers license

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : 
Positions in this class typically require: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.

Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pound of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Incumbents may be subjected to fumes, odors, and extreme temperatures.
