We are seeking an IT Help Desk Specialist in Columbia who will serve as the first point for technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and providing excellent customer service to internal employees. You will work closely with senior IT professionals to ensure the smooth operation of our IT systems and assist in maintaining IT infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities: -Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, and in-person interactions. -Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues. -Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems. -Assist with setting up and maintaining employee workstations, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals. -Manage user accounts, password resets, and access permissions. -Document support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in a ticketing system. -Educate employees on best IT practices and provide guidance on using company technology effectively. -Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT staff when necessary. Qualifications: -Basic understanding of Windows and Mac operating systems. -Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and common business applications. -Basic knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VPNs). -Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. -Excellent communication and customer service skills.
