Clinical Medical Scribe

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant college coursework.
• Minimum of three years of administrative or office management experience.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical documentation ethics.
• Excellent typing, spelling, grammar, and oral communication skills.
• Solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and diagnostic procedures.
• Ability to interpret and expand medical abbreviations.
• Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply logic.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance if working onsite.

Duties:

• Accurately transcribe real-time patient encounters into the EPIC EMR system.
• Ensure all documentation is HIPAA-compliant and meets medical legal standards.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EPIC EMR updates, medical coding, and billing practices.
• Assist healthcare providers with documentation of treatment plans and assessments.
• Manage confidential patient information with discretion.
• Quickly assimilate new knowledge and adapt processes as needed.
