Job Description
The Activities Director is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of the activities program, ensuring it meets the social, psychosocial, and therapeutic needs of the residents.

Job Posting: Temporary - Leadership - Activities Director
Location : Bad Axe, MI
Duration : 13 Weeks
Shift Type : Days
Shift Hours : 8 AM - 4 PM (8 hours/day)

Key responsibilities include :

  • Completing and/or directing the completion of the activities component of comprehensive assessments.
  • Contributing to and/or directing contributions to comprehensive care plan goals that are personalized to each resident’s skills, abilities, and preferences.
  • Scheduling and implementing individual and group activities, such as recreational, educational, cultural, and arts & crafts programs.
  • Monitoring and evaluating residents' responses to activities, adjusting the program as needed to meet their needs.
  • Ensuring activities are scheduled seven days a week, with individual activities provided daily for residents who cannot or do not wish to participate in group activities.
  • Overseeing transportation of residents to social activity programs both inside and outside the facility.

Submission Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, with one year of full-time experience in a therapeutic activities program.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • College degree in a related field preferred.
